KJÆRHOLM’S FURNITURE IS ETERNAL

The first retrospective of Poul Kjærholm (1929-1980), a leading Danish modernist furniture designer, was held in Seochon, Korea. Kjærholm, who referred to himself as a furniture architect, incorporated architectural materials such as steel into his designs and believed that furniture was crucial to the experience of a space. On a sunny day, sitting on Kjærholm's furniture and looking out the window, the comfortable seating and serene view of Seochon made us forget about the complexities of society for a while.
